The Record of Historical Sins: Devour the Emperor System

【Historical time travel / System story / Dark themes / Alternate history across multiple dynasties / Luck appropriation / Backlash from karma】 History graduate student Xiaren accidentally activates the “Devouring System.” Manipulated by the System, he embarks on a mad quest to devour the power and fortune of emperors throughout history. Starting in the Xia dynasty, he and cultural relic restorer Chu Yao seize an emperor’s authority in each dynasty they visit, bringing down dynasties and causing the people to suffer. As the fortune he devours grows stronger, Xiaren’s obsession and greed spiral further out of control, while Chu Yao, worn down by the System’s influence, gradually goes from clear-headed opposition to becoming his accomplice. The two unleash rivers of blood across the long course of history, but when they reach the “Ruler of Heaven’s Mandate,” they discover a shocking conspiracy hidden behind the System, one that threatens to overturn Chinese civilization.
