Espionage in Hengdian

In the Republican era, Hengdian World Studios becomes a covert battleground for espionage among the Nationalists, Communists, and Japanese. Rising star Lin Qiubai, a covert Communist Party operative, uses film shoots as cover as she matches wits with Chen Mo, a Nationalist intelligence agent, and Zhou Mo, a Japanese spy. Clues are hidden among the props and film reels on set. From stealing the “Cherry Blossom Plan” to cracking a genetic code, she navigates between cameras and gun barrels, uncovering the mystery of her own origins as the Japanese prime minister's illegitimate daughter and using her screen persona to tell a true story of faith.
