Siheyuan: Starting Out Living in a Stable

In real life, if something in a novel doesn’t match your expectations, you can hammer away on your phone, then swipe left and start over. But when you really transmigrate into that courtyard, who can say they’ll have a smooth ride, stay safe and get rich, or keep rising through the ranks until old age? After all, you only get one life, right? So let’s follow an ordinary, middle-aged, slightly paunchy man with no particular skills and only a vague memory of things as he transmigrates back in time. He starts out as an ordinary person with nothing going for him: no System, no golden finger, no pocket dimension, and neither two living parents nor two dead ones. Watch him struggle and tread carefully through life. Note: The story will basically never follow the original plot. Even with the disguise, there’s hardly any hostility, or at least very little. (If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment. I read them every day. Of course, if you want to criticize me, please do so with good reason, and go easy. If you come in swinging without reason or evidence and skip straight to insults, I might be able to take it as long as you leave my parents and family out of it. Then again, maybe not.)
