Dandong Soul Tower: a Mysterious Legend Under the Shadow of Evil

This story is purely fictitious and any similarity is purely coincidental. In 1937, in Dandong under the rule of the puppet Manchukuo, there was a crisis hidden behind the prosperity. More than 800 people were killed in a fire at the Shengping Theater in the city because the door opened inwards. Since then, supernatural phenomena have occurred frequently at the old theater site. Eerie singing voices and miserable howls of ghosts and wolves can be heard every night, and nearby residents are shrouded in fear. In order to stabilize the situation, the Japanese authorities invited a mysterious monk. The eminent monk chanted sutras for 49 days, built a soul-calming tower, and the supernatural phenomena temporarily subsided.
