On his first day at work, Lin Fanfan set his life goal:
Keep his head down until the end of time, and lie flat until the company goes bankrupt.
While everyone else was busy in meetings reviewing projects, he was climbing the rankings in the restroom.
While everyone else worked overtime until midnight, he clocked out on time, healthy as a horse.
He thought that after lying flat for a few years, he would be laid off and collect a severance package.
Instead, his boss not only refused to fire him, but treated him as the company’s “savior”!
Boss: He stays quiet because he sees further than the rest of us!
Coworkers: He never works overtime, which means he’s far more efficient than ordinary people!
HR: He sits still all day, yet has an even steadier presence than a director...
And so, somehow, Lin Fanfan kept getting promoted and earning raises, landed projects left and right, and became a key employee the company was grooming for the future.
Then one day, a big shot from the group headquarters dropped in for an inspection and personally asked him to take the reins: “Mr. Lin, could you teach me how to slack off?”
Lin Fanfan: “...”
I really just want to collect my paycheck. I don’t want to rule the whole world!
