This is a world where “Dao and demon reject each other, and humans and monsters follow different paths.” The immortal sects revere the sword, the demons prize monsters, and a thousand years of bloodshed and prejudice divide humans and monsters.
Xie Xuechen, the foremost sword cultivator of the immortal sects, was born with sword bones and wields his life-bound sword, Frostbright. He follows a steadfast sword path: “I would rather break than bend, and press ever onward.” His sword intent is as sharp as snow. He once slew three thousand fiends of the Demon Abyss with a single strike and earned the title of “Humanity’s Sword Champion.”
Yu Zhaozhao, the Demon Clan’s saintess and a nine-tailed cat monster, was born with immense demonic power. Yet her unusual bloodline made her an outcast among her own kind. Cunning and mercurial, she delights in toying with her prey before swallowing them whole once she’s had her fun.
Until the day Xie Xuechen was ambushed in the battle between immortals and demons, stripped of his powers, and captured by the Demon Clan.
And the one who caught him was none other than the cat monster saintess famed for “playing with people’s hearts.”
