The Night Fog Puppeteer

In the late autumn of 2020, a string of bizarre murders rocks Wucheng. Each victim has had the skin precisely peeled from their face, and at every crime scene sits a burlap doll dressed in the victim's clothes. As Jiang Xia digs deeper, she discovers that all the cases bear a startling resemblance to the infamous “Dollmaker Serial Murders” from twenty years ago. The sole survivor of that case was her younger sister, who disappeared ten years ago. When the sixth body appears in the old house where Jiang Xia spent her childhood, she receives a yellowed letter bearing a crayon drawing of two girls holding hands. On the back, it says: “Big sister, it's time to give me back my face.”
