To Get His Comrade's Little Sister into the Art Troupe, My Husband Cruelly Broke Both My Legs

One month before the arts troupe auditions, I was kidnapped and had both legs broken. I would never be able to stand onstage again.

My husband, Xiao Changyu, went white-haired overnight. Even after calling in the military, he could never find the real culprit.

I dragged my injured legs from doctor to doctor, but none could help. Afraid I might do something foolish, Xiao Changyu brought his younger sister to live with us and take care of me.

But I spent every day in tears, unwilling to step outside my room.

In the middle of the night, my leg injury flared up again, and the pain woke me.

Then I heard my sister-in-law let out a long sigh in the living room and softly reproach him.

"Brother, Sister-in-law is a good person. Why did you break her legs with your own hands, then lie and tell her they couldn't be healed?"

Xiao Changyu replied calmly:

"I had no choice. Zhizhi wants to join the arts troupe, and there's only one spot. Your sister-in-law's fundamentals are too good. With her there, Zhizhi would never have a chance. I could only use this extreme method to make her give up."

"But Song Zhizhi's brother never saved you. Your so-called debt of gratitude is just a lie you made up to your wife so you could take care of her openly."

"Sister-in-law is innocent, and she loves you so much. When she discovers the truth one day, how will you face her?"

Xiao Changyu paused, then continued:

"Your sister-in-law has no one else. She can only rely on me. Even if she finds out, I'll just comfort her."

"Besides, Zhizhi is frail. She's not as strong as your sister-in-law, so it's only right that I take a little extra care of her..."

Moonlight crept across the windowsill, illuminating my rigid face, pale as a ghost.

So he was the one who had caused all of this.

My perfectly healthy legs had stood in the way of Song Zhizhi's future.

In that case,

I was done with Xiao Changyu.
