Rising to Power in the Dead of Night

The Lin Group is swallowed up by a mysterious force, and Lin Mo watches his father leap to his death and his mother get murdered. During his escape, he is rescued by Chen Laogui, an underworld enforcer, and forced to join the lowest ranks of the Azure Dragon Society, doing its most dangerous “dirty work.” Lin Mo appears obedient while secretly studying the rules of the underworld and investigating the truth behind his family's downfall. During a mission, he sees through Chen Laogui's plot to use him as a disposable pawn. After killing him in self-defense, Lin Mo earns a measure of status within the organization.
