Peach Blossoms Bloom in the Buddha's Heart

“Holy monk, the peach blossoms on your prayer beads look just like me.” “...Wretched demon, do not speak such nonsense!” ◇ Buddhist Saint × Innocent Peach Blossom Spirit ◇ ◇ Bound by the Same Fate ◇ A God-Slaying Calamity ◇ Xuan Ming was a Buddhist prodigy, the likes of whom the Buddhist order saw only once in a century. He wielded a demon-subduing staff and bore the legacy of the Guiding Buddha, unaware that the soul of the ancient ferocious beast, the Six-Winged Golden Cicada, was sealed inside him. After being gravely wounded in a pursuit, he fell into Peach Valley, where a half-human, half-tree peach blossom spirit latched onto him. “Master, shall we cultivate together?” The innocent and carefree peach spirit, Tao Luo, slipped a peach branch into his monk's robe, accidentally triggering a life-bond pact. Buddhist light and demon blood mingled, their fates intertwined until death. From then on, demonic nature stained his Buddhist bones, and peach fragrance clung to his kasaya. He broke his vows to protect her as she endured the tribulation; she saved his life with her demon core. He coldly called her a “wretched demon,” yet when she took human form, he watered her peach branch with his own Buddhist blood. She innocently craved spiritual energy, yet was willing to face the nine-tailed fox's revenge and the Demon Hunting Bureau's siege for him... And yet, it was all a trap. “The Buddhist artifact spirit has appeared. Both Buddhists and demons are its prey.” The artifact spirit coveted by the Nine Heavens and the Five Demon Domains was none other than Tao Luo. And the “past life” in which Xuan Ming slaughtered the fox clan was actually a calamity arranged by the Guiding Buddha to forge the God-Slaying Sword. As his prayer beads shattered and demonic wings burst from his body, Tao Luo was forged into a sword scabbard beneath a blood-red Bodhi tree. “If fate says you must become a demon, then I'll follow you into the deepest hell.” “Do you regret it?” “I regret not meeting you three hundred years sooner.” “I'd give my demon body to the Buddha in exchange for a lifetime of peace for you.”
