The Winter I Worked as a Nanny in Guangzhou

Synopsis

Xiaoqing is a kindhearted teacher at a public primary school. A careless investment mistake cost her more than a hundred thousand yuan and left her burdened with heavy debts. The sudden financial pressure left her unable to eat or sleep.

Determined to pay off her debts as quickly as possible, she contacted a domestic worker in Guangzhou with whom she had already made arrangements. As soon as winter break began, she headed to Guangzhou to work in the domestic service industry.

What kind of employers did Xiaoqing meet while working in Guangzhou, and what unexpected experiences did she have? This novel is adapted from the domestic work diary she kept during that period.
