The Fated Killing Game: A Livestream Assassin's Nine Deadly Sins

In the neon-lit world of the internet, a livestream room veiled in black quietly rose to prominence. The “Heavenly Secrets Pavilion” went live every day at the Hour of the Tiger. Its host, “Shadow,” rolled copper coins between his fingers as he read the hexagrams, his voice hoarse as an ancient well: “Want to see death? You’re next.” No one could have guessed that this seemingly absurd fortune-telling stream would become a preview of a series of murders. The victims included one who fell from a high-rise in the bustling city, caught in the “Li Fire Calamity,” and a merchant trapped and killed by a feng shui formation in a sealed room, the “Gen Mountain Prison.” Using the long-lost Eight-Door Killing Formation, Shadow orchestrated eight perfect crimes. A mysterious hexagram symbol was carved beside every body. Detective Lin Mo painstakingly pieced together the clues, only to discover that they all pointed to a scandal buried in the police force twenty years earlier. Back then, the promising young genius detective Lu Chen had vanished under strange circumstances while pursuing a criminal syndicate backed by powerful elites. As the stream’s audience surged past a million, Shadow sneered at the camera. “Fortune-telling lets me see the cause and effect of this world. Killing is just correcting the mistakes in Heaven’s ledger.” Su Qing, a journalist determined to uncover the truth, infiltrated the stream, but as she and Shadow clashed again and again, she found herself shaken by his obsessive belief in “washing away sin with blood.” When he announced that he would carry out the final judgment on himself, everyone assumed it was the confession of a madman, until the police discovered a tarot deck covered in the Nine Deadly Sins at the crime scene
