[Transmigration] [Urban] [Light Lovecraftian elements] [Gourmet] [Devour to grow stronger] [Horror and suspense] [No female lead]
My name is Ji Sheng. When I woke up, it seemed like nothing had changed, yet everything was different. The sun had vanished, cities had been stitched together like scraps of cloth, and the laws of physics could break down at any moment. Am I an accidental intruder, or an inhabitant who once dreamed of an ordinary world?
But none of that matters anymore!
In this twisted world, order is a luxury and chaos is the norm. Others have to overcome one hardship after another and become capable just to scrape by. I only have to reach out my hand to taste fear, analyze madness, and add anything that stands in my way to my “menu.”
[Nomad Legion scout (whispering)]: “Look at that guy… He paws at the bodies after every fight, and there’s something wrong with his eyes… Stay away from him. There’s something ‘off’ about him.”
[Mind Cult monk (frowning)]: “His mental fluctuations are strange. He doesn’t seem like a mind cultivator, more like… a black hole for information, indiscriminately absorbing everything around him… including our perceptions.”
[Rust Brotherhood engineer (puzzled)]: “The way he fights… Why does it look so much like that ‘Ripper’ we ran into last time? Even his techniques are uncannily accurate…”
But devouring brings more than power. It also brings lingering memories of madness, twisted emotions, and… the gaze of whatever lurks behind those he has stolen from. Am I evolving, or heading toward another form of mutation?
