Ancient Martial Arts and Guns: A Transmigrated Assassin’s Double Life

Ye Jinghong, the top-ranked assassin in the martial world, completes a mission to assassinate a powerful minister and accidentally touches an ancient blood jade, transmigrating to a village in the Black Mountains of Northeast China in the 1990s. When the cold-faced swordsman encounters steaming bowls of hearty corn porridge, he mistakes a crock of pickled cabbage for a poison-dipping vat, uses his light-footed skills to leap onto a corn loft and gets mistaken for a fox spirit. Amid all the chaos, he begins a hilarious life in the countryside.

But the peace is shattered when a gang of poachers invades. Ye Jinghong has no choice but to show his skills again, leading the villagers in using ancient martial arts tactics against gun-toting thugs. To raise funds for the fight, he heads to the city for work and sweeps the underground boxing scene, catching the eye of a top international mercenary organization. Taking on the name “Leng Feng,” he sets out on a blood-soaked path as a mercenary. From facing off against terrorist groups on Middle Eastern battlefields to confronting the mastermind behind it all on the Arctic ice, Ye Jinghong perfectly combines ancient martial arts with modern tactics. He not only uncovers the shocking secret of the blood jade, but also writes a legendary tale of rising from a sociable village kingpin to the king of mercenaries, between the black soil of Northeast China and international battlefields!
