I've Had My Fill of The Grave Robbers' Chronicles. The Plot Is Too Clichéd. Any New Recommendations?

I'm looking for recommendations for new books. I just want something that doesn't feel too cliché. The plots I've picked out so far all seem terribly formulaic. Also, some novels require you to look closely at the photos, but don't worry about those. They can't post them without photos anyway.
