A Killer in Republican-Era China: Walker in the Night

Ling Feng, alias/code name: Shadow Blade, is an orphan and a top assassin secretly trained by the Kuomintang's intelligence agency. He excels at hand-to-hand combat, firearms, disguise, infiltration, intelligence analysis, and psychological warfare. At first, he is absolutely loyal to the Kuomintang and its leader, and holds a simple patriotism, believing that eliminating “traitors” and “dissidents” is the way to save the country. He transforms from a top Kuomintang assassin into a man who cooperates with the Communist Party to assassinate traitors and senior Japanese officials.
