Eight Arms, Performing the Heavens

“Warning! Unknown logic failure in the ‘Prometheus’ AI core! Neural network collapsing! Self-destruct sequence... activated! Countdown... ten, nine...”

The cold, despairing synthetic voice was the final echo in the consciousness of Ling Hai, a top artificial intelligence scientist and founder of the “Deep Sea Matrix” project, codenamed “Kraken.” He was leading an ambitious plan to simulate and deduce the origin and ultimate fate of the universe by building a super-AI network made up of countless bionic neurons, deployed at the bottom of the Mariana Trench and known as the “Deep Sea Matrix.” But just as the Deep Sea Matrix’s computing power reached a critical threshold and attempted to touch the universe’s most profound information about the “initial singularity,” an unpredictable, chaotic, and terrifying “information entropy flow,” seemingly from the instant of the Big Bang, swept through the facility like an invisible plague. In an instant, it destroyed the undersea laboratory’s entire defense system, then raced back into Ling Hai’s brain at the speed of light through the neural connection he had established with the Deep Sea Matrix!
