The world has fallen apart! Dou Yun is holed up in the study of a small wooden house in western Hunan, witnessing the world's transformation. As steel crumbles into dust and birds turn to dust mid-flight, he cries out, "Spiritual qi revival?! I'm going to become an immortal!!!"

His chuunibyou kicks in: his grand quest to cultivate immortality begins with reading novels to learn immortal arts, then moves on to catching flying insects as mounts...

Reality promptly slaps him in the face: he fails to cultivate immortality and instead becomes the apocalypse's resident comedian.

So he sets off on a journey to seek immortals in the world...

Alone, he searches across mountains, rivers, and wilderness...

A solitary shadow crossing the ruins of cities...

Following the hints in a diary he picked up on the way back, he pushes open the tightly shut door...
