I Offended Meng Po and Suffered Every Kind of Hardship in the World

In life, Wang Dewang terrorized the region under the name “Wicked King Wang.” He dreamed up pretexts to rake in money through schemes disguised as health supplements, children’s education, and more, driving countless families to ruin. Luring people with promises of high salaries, he imprisoned hundreds of men and women, taking human depravity to its extreme. His mansion was extravagantly luxurious, and his safes were stuffed with gold bars and evidence of his crimes. Every fortune he amassed was stained with the blood and tears of others.

Even after death, he showed no remorse. When Ox-Head and Horse-Face came to arrest him, he brazenly demanded to become a Ghost King and vowed to take revenge on everyone who had ever defied him. At the Bridge of Helplessness, he was even lecherous enough to openly proposition Meng Po, showing contempt for the dignity of the gods.

At last, his evil deeds earned him a harsh punishment: he was cast into the endless Hell of Reincarnation. There, he suffered a thousand different deaths. Each experience of the seven emotions marked the beginning of another round. Amid unending torment, he finally tasted every bitterness and sweetness of the human world.
