Reversing the World in Hongwu: The Beggar Emperor Returns

When the death of the Hongwu Emperor collides with the fading sunset of the late Qing, Zhu Yuanzhang opens his eyes to find himself a starving beggar freezing to death on the street in the year 1900! Foreign powers trample the land beneath their iron heels, the Qing court rots like worm-eaten timber, and corpses litter the starving countryside. He crushes his broken bowl and roars, “The world has lost its way? Then I’ll conquer it all over again!”

From plotting beneath the City God Temple to leading an army of beggars to seize granaries, execute beile princes, and burn treaties; from restoring the military garrison system and training elite troops to raising the banner of “Overthrow the Qing and Restore the Ming” and storming the Forbidden City! Watch Old Zhu use the iron-fisted methods of the early Ming to bring the displaced under control and wield imperial cunning to toy with the foreign powers. With Hongwu cash coins clutched in his left hand as he rallies the people, and a flintlock in his right pointing to the heavens, this time the realm of the Han people will regain its glory amid steam and bloodshed!

“I am Zhu Chongba, and I have come to collect the debt for the old realm!” As the dragon banner rises once more, watch the beggar emperor defy time with his sword, make the four corners of the world bow before the Ming again, and usher in a new Hongwu era beneath the sun and moon!
