The Nets' Rise: The Road to a Dynasty

When a transmigrator becomes the general manager of the Brooklyn Nets in the summer of 2013, he faces a trade proposal to assemble a Big Five featuring Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. He decisively turns it down, rejecting a star-studded lineup built by mortgaging the future. Instead, he sets out to build a new dynasty rooted in local culture, guided by data and sharp judgment. Amid public skepticism and pressure from the front office, the protagonist spots promising rookie Jalen Simmons and discovers undrafted point guard Tyler Walker. He builds the roster around defense, fast breaks, and three-point shooting. After enduring the pain of a ten-game losing streak at the start of the season, this young team storms into the playoffs as a dark horse, pulls off an eighth-seed upset, and shocks the league. Over the next few years, the team continues to strengthen, signing defensive stalwart Ball and veteran LaMarcus Aldridge. An AI training System helps resolve conflicts between players, and the team steadily climbs to the top. From ruling the Eastern Conference to battling in the Finals, the Nets defeat one formidable opponent after another, including the Heat’s Big Three, the Warriors’ Splash Brothers, and Giannis and the Bucks, capturing four consecutive championships. Simmons wins three straight Finals MVP awards and Defensive Player of the Year, Walker claims the three-point crown, and the team develops several All-Stars. Faced with changing rules and the loss of talent, the protagonist sustains the team’s dominance through tactical innovation and a strong player pipeline. In the end, he passes on the general manager role and devotes himself to youth basketball, forging an enduring Brooklyn legend and telling the underdog story of a dynasty built without chasing superstars.
