This novel features two male protagonists. Han Jingsheng lives in a remote village, where his own younger brother, Han Jingyuan, frames him, getting him committed to a psychiatric hospital once a year. Ten years pass in a flash, and Han Jingsheng can no longer endure his brother's persecution. He sets out to find Chen Mo, the wealthy second-generation boyfriend he lost touch with. First, he gets to live the white-collar life everyone dreams of. Through Chen Mo's introductions, he also meets Marshal Xu of the military region after showing that he can write classical poetry. Meanwhile, the scheming Yu Weiwei keeps plotting against him behind his back. Later, Chen Mo turns his awful novel into a TV drama, earning more than 30 million in royalties, but Yu Weiwei continues plotting against him. Finally, Chen Mo has him use that 30 million to start a company. Yu Weiwei vows to make his life miserable, but just then, the cram school Yu Weiwei runs is shut down by Chen Mo's former father-in-law, who is also investigated over the incident. It was all a trap Chen Mo had set for them in advance. And that's not all: Chen Mo also gets Han Jingyuan sent to prison. His sister-in-law, Zhang Ruyan, already suffered from depression, and she ends up dying of her illness at home. You could say she got what she deserved...
