Don’t Underestimate an Old Bone: This Relocated Old-Timer Is a Force to Be Reckoned With in the ’70S

[Period setting + 1970s + reborn + satisfying revenge + pocket dimension + golden finger + alternate history] Old Wang (Wang Fugui) is reborn in the 1970s! Remembering how his ungrateful children drained him dry in his previous life, and how his two biological older brothers teamed up with his underhanded rival to frame him, subject him to investigation, and send him down to the countryside from his high post as deputy factory director, he recalls the miserable end he met. A pocket dimension full of supplies falls from the sky. With the frame-up already settled and no way to turn things around, he has no choice but to accept the heavy accusations pinned on him. He's done putting up with his ungrateful children's endless demands. He ignores them and spends his days preparing for the coming move to the countryside. While he's at it, he opens the black box his two unpopular older brothers left him when the family property was divided, unlocking his own family's treasure trove. With a fortune like this, where is he supposed to show it off? As for his feud with his rival, of course he'll get even on the spot. He'll clear the rival's place out, take absolutely everything, and even bring him along to the countryside to keep being his rival. Otherwise, life would be so much less fun. He's done trying to be a towering, noble father. He'll be a selfish, irascible old man instead, letting them truly suffer through every kind of hardship, while he and his wife eat and drink well and enjoy a laid-back holiday in the countryside. Unexpectedly, after returning to the city, he rolls up his sleeves and gets to work, chanting to himself, “A man stays young until the day he dies. Fifty is the perfect age to build a career!” He's determined to become the richest man in the capital. But why are his dutiful children and grandchildren trailing behind him, calling him “the best dad” and “the best grandpa” and inspired by his personal charm and hardworking spirit? In the end, he somehow becomes a role model for middle-aged and elderly people. Well, this... has even made real men proud!
