And yet the Spider fell in love with a rose.
Others thought the rose was poison sent to destroy the Spider. For all its dazzling beauty, it was no more than a parasitic vine, destined to be strangled by the Spider’s web.
But the rose arrived clad in armor, bringing the end of Minsk. Standing atop a warship, he gazed at the Spider and smiled brightly. “I’m here to set you free, to… take you home.”

“Ming Yuze, you can’t stop loving me…” The hand around Ming Yuze’s throat tightened slightly, then withdrew as if its owner had suddenly come to his senses.
The Spider of the Empire was full of dread, fear in his eyes. He still looked like the stubborn boy who had clung to Ming Yuze’s clothes.
Ming Yuze shook his head, leaned forward into Ming Yu'an’s arms, rose onto his toes, and kissed him, letting the man pull him close.
“Ming Yu'an, you’re the one who… isn’t allowed to leave me.”
