Ten Years Beneath the Wutong Tree

Beneath the sun-dappled plane tree at Nanguo University,

Shen Yihang, a reserved and focused architecture prodigy, and Lin Xi, a bright and sensitive literary talent from the Chinese department, are bound together by fate for nearly ten years after a celadon cup shatters.

From their silent “war” by the library window to clashing ideals in the “City Imprints” club; from their “rebellious” graduation exhibition to the blueprints mercilessly altered when they first enter the workplace...

They are soulmates perfectly suited to each other in the ivory tower, yet lovers who wound one another in the mire of reality. One retreats behind a lofty wall of ideals, while the other sinks into an ordinary life. The sound of their steps growing ever more distant nearly drives their love into an abyss from which there is no return.
