The Day and Night Fatekeepers

At the hour of the Rabbit, I reap souls in the Underworld; at the hour of the Rooster, I determine fate in the Celestial Court. Just last night, I added ten years to a mortal's lifespan in the Book of Destiny. This morning, the Book of Life and Death said he was fated to die on the spot. But when I personally came to take his soul, I discovered that what had been erased was not only his remaining years, but also the fate that should have been his. In the Three Realms, the Book of Destiny records life, while the Book of Life and Death records death. They should be accurate to the tiniest fraction. Yet the discrepancies grow worse with each passing year. More and more people who should not have died are dying prematurely, and the essence of their fates is vanishing with them. The Celestial Court says this is destiny; the Underworld says it is reincarnation. But I know someone is stealing the fates of all living beings from the cracks between the Three Realms. By day, I am Jiang Qi, the Underworld's coldest soul reaper. By night, I am the Star Lord of Destiny, whose origins in the Celestial Court are shrouded in mystery. To uncover the truth, I have no choice but to move between the worlds of yin and yang, evading the probing eyes of both the Celestial Court and the Underworld while joining forces with Su Zhiyao, a young woman from the Imperial Astronomical Bureau who can see the cracks in fate, to solve the cases. She still doesn't know that the two mysterious figures she's investigating are one and the same: me.
