Who says women cannot fight for the realm?
Historical political intrigue × Strong heroine’s rise × Passionate tale of defending the nation
Jiang Ru was born with a crescent-shaped birthmark. She thought it was nothing more than an ordinary mark, never knowing it concealed the secrets of a former dynasty and a mystery of bloodline.
She was a merchant’s daughter, but her talent and reputation swept her into the whirlpool of court politics. Women can’t take the imperial exams? Under the name “Peerless Young Master,” she dazzles the Hanlin Academy with her writing, stuns the heavens with her pipa, and astonishes the Northern Di envoys with a three-dimensional painting. She becomes the Great Zhou dynasty’s first female top scorer in the imperial exams!
The court looks down on women? Then she’ll enter government and take charge of the Ministry of War, using her wisdom to solve the crisis on the frontier. When the tribes invade and the court’s generals are at a loss, she leads three thousand cavalry herself, wins against overwhelming odds, and makes a name for the ages!
Yet the road of political intrigue is never smooth...
The Third Prince secretly conspires with foreign enemies and sees her as a thorn in his side.
Old retainers of the Chu family and their grudges against the royal house leave her caught in a dilemma.
And the crescent-shaped birthmark on her wrist grows hotter by the day, as if heralding an even greater storm...
She is Jiang Ru, and she is Chu Linyue.
She will show everyone in the realm what a woman can be!
Disguised as a man, she writes with flair in the imperial examination hall and debates a host of scholars in court.
She solves a thousand-year-old puzzle, improves military weapons, and stuns everyone with three-dimensional painting...
I’ll make sure no one in this realm ever dares say that women are inferior to men again.
Jiang Ru
The plot is compact and the story is novel. It is indeed worth watching. The first part is a bit connotative, but I can't quite understand it. The fourth volume is very well written.
