Bourbon, Are You on the Red Side or the Black Side?

This book is about what happens after Rule-Based Horrors descend on the world, and chosen participants from Beika Town are sent into them. The protagonist is Rei Furuya. If that's not your thing, feel free to skip it. I started writing this because I wanted to soften some of the regrets surrounding the Police Academy Five, though there will be a few painful moments. A friendly warning: early on, Shuichi Akai and Conan don't know that Toru Amuro is an undercover agent. Some things also differ from the original. The timeline is after the Mystery Train arc, when Conan already knows that Toru Amuro is Bourbon. There are watch-along scenes, so proceed with caution if you dislike those. (Volume 1 leans more toward watch-along content, while Volume 2 is about Rule-Based Horrors.) The first instance is very short. I'll explain why later during the watch-along. (LMAO, I can't. I wrote the first instance messily in my third year of school, and halfway through editing it I suddenly realized Lin's identity had been exposed, so I hastily wrapped it up. But I was too lazy to revise it. Now I've realized I have to. 😅) There is a lot of watch-along content early on. The author is a devoted solo fan and strongly recommends this pairing. I really hate AkaAmu, and ReiKaze sets me off. I only have a soft spot for Jing Rei! Please don't come into the comments and shove your ship in my face, especially AkaAmu fans. There are no couples in this story. I couldn't find a no-CP tag, so I selected no female lead instead.
