Collected Essentials of Ancient Remedies

Ancient Prescriptions, Gathered and Refined is a collection of medical formulas written by the Qing dynasty physician Ai Xu Laoren and published in 1798. The book has four volumes. Volume One contains formulas for various conditions, including internal and external ailments. Volume Two covers gynecology and pediatrics. Volume Three mainly contains formulas for miscellaneous ailments, while Volume Four includes supplementary prescriptions and emergency remedies. The formulas in the book are quite practical and offer some value as a reference for clinical use. On April 13, 2025, Yang of Mingyaoyuan translated it into vernacular Chinese so more people could understand the book, promote traditional culture, and help traditional Chinese medicine develop more quickly! My abilities and education are limited, so if there is anything inappropriate in the text, I hope teachers will offer their criticism and corrections. I sincerely thank all my readers for their love and support!
