When Ye Bingshang Learns to Graft Flowers

A heads-up: Ye Bingshang isn't a good person or a paragon of virtue. She means no good to Ye Xiwu, Li Susu, or Tantai Jin. She has no heart for anyone. To her, this world is just a game. As she read Xiao Lin's letter, Ye Bingshang sat in prison, consumed by despair. So someone had loved her after all, but she had caused Xiao Lin's death. In her despair, she drank the poisoned gruel and ended her life. But after death, she didn't go to the underworld. Instead, as a spirit, she followed a little girl named Jiang Yuyan, watching her change from kind and innocent to utterly wicked, and finally die despite her high position, all because of her obsession with a man. Suddenly, strange words appeared before her eyes. After reading a great many of them, she finally understood: she and Jiang Yuyan were both wicked supporting characters in a storybook. But they were only supporting characters, their endings long since set. The author wouldn't even grant them a little kindness. She was a concubine in a world that distinguished between legitimate and illegitimate children, a mortal in a world that divided immortals from mortals, and a woman in a world ruled by men. She'd been bullied by the legitimate daughter since childhood. Even Xiao Lin, the only person who loved her, had fallen for Ye Xiwu in the original story. The claim that he loved her for reasons other than the love thread was all a lie. But why? Just because she was a supporting character, did she deserve none of the world's goodness? Was it simply because she was supposedly born evil? Then she'd be wicked enough to show them!
