This is the story of Chu Yichen, the sole survivor of the Chu family of Tianchu. Born with a Chaos Spirit Body, he escaped the massacre that wiped out his clan. He first met Murong Xue, princess of Beiyan, whose Mystic Moon Body bound them together by fate in a dual-cultivation bond. But when Su Yao of Xiliang, who possesses a Three Yin Physique, entered the picture, love turned to hatred and unleashed a storm of schemes. Amid the whirlpool of political intrigue, Chu Yichen ascended the throne, only to face the brutal trial of the Mystic Moon Sacrifice. To reach the realm of Shattering the Void, he had to offer the primordial yin of his beloved, Murong Xue. When the flames of war finally died, he ruled the world, but lost the one he loved forever. The warmth lingering in his palm speaks of the love and sorrow on his path against fate. At the lonely summit of his empire, it leaves behind a mournful elegy for two souls forever parted by yin and yang.
