After being released from prison, Ya Long went to Guangzhou to seek out his former cellmate, Lin Qiang, who recommended him for a job as a casino enforcer.
His outstanding performance at the casino caught the attention of the gang's senior members. After gang leader Chu Xiongfei took him under his wing, Ya Long completed several missions exceptionally well and earned a foothold in the Shadow Gang.
At a celebration banquet, Ya Long met the gang leader's daughter, Chu Meini. Meini fell for him, but some of the gang's senior members opposed the match. Under pressure, Chu Xiongfei sent Meini to study in England.
The rising Green Snake Gang clashed with the Shadow Gang repeatedly as the two groups competed, leading to a series of bloody battles.
In the end, Ya Long led his brothers to wipe out the Green Snake Gang and claim the gang leader's throne.
After marrying Meini, Ya Long lived happily ever after. The story of Brother Long, the gangland legend, was passed down among the people of Guangzhou.
