Cultivating Immortality in The Outcast

Lin Luo was born with lightning patterns, and a bolt of lightning struck him, turning him into a baby and sending him to another world. Luckily, an old Daoist saved him and took him on as a disciple.

After a hundred years of cultivation, Lin Luo has become a great Nascent Soul cultivator, though his power is suppressed. When he mastered the Divine Firmament Heavenly Thunder, his master left, and Lin Luo learned that his master was Wen Zhong, the “Celestial Worthy of the Sound of Thunder, Universal Transformation, and Responding to the Nine Heavens.” (As for the protagonist’s cultivation level, his power has been suppressed because the cultivation systems are different. He’ll learn the truth later.)

After receiving the two cultivation manuals his master left behind, Lin Luo followed his master’s advice and prepared to travel the world, tempering his state of mind so he could ascend and reunite with his master as soon as possible.

Just after descending the mountain, he met two people he never expected to encounter: Zhang Chulan, the shameless schemer, and Feng Baobao, the quick-witted oddball. Meeting them made Lin Luo realize that he had arrived in the world of The Outcast. As time passed, he gradually discovered some of the hidden secrets of that world.

Feng Baobao: “Daoist Lin, you’re a good person!”

Zhang Chulan: “Daoist Lin really is a good person. He’s just a little petty.” Just then, a bolt of heavenly lightning suddenly fell from the sky, striking toward Zhang Chulan’s head.

Wu Gensheng: “Lin Luo, long time no see. You’re still alive?”

Wang Ye: “I can’t pin down Daoist Lin! Did I study Feng Hou Qimen for nothing?”

Old Celestial Master: “Daoist Lin is truly an extraordinary man. He should have the title of The One and Only!”

Quanxing: “No one surnamed Lin is any good!”

Lin Luo: “Kind patrons, you’ve all misunderstood me. Behold, my heavenly thunder!”

Somehow, Lin Luo, who devoted himself to becoming an immortal, became known among the Outcasts as the “Thunderbolt Dharma King.” Lin Luo would like to point out that his surname isn’t Yang.
