Livestreaming to Fame: From a Rental Room to the Hong Kong Red Carpet

[Livestreaming + virtual daughter-raising + no romance + tycoon generosity] [Based on a true story] On August 27, 2023, livestreamer Lin Shiqi, also known as Little Pixie, met her benefactors, Xu Baobao and his eight million supporters. 320,000 people poured into her livestream. Just two minutes into their video call, the gears of her fate began to turn. “I’m rich, I’m rich!” “Wah… my sky!” With her sincerity, she won out over fishnet stockings, beauty filters, and sound cards. Her rendition of “I Really Love You” brought every middle-aged man to tears. Whenever she streamed through the night, her fans stayed up with her. When she livestreamed her bad habits, the big spenders helped her fix them one by one. When her limited education led her to mispronounce a big spender’s name, she simply started calling him by the mistaken name, showering him with affection. Every time she ended a stream, the screen would fill with: “047, I’m coming to find you!” When school started on September 1, 2023, Little Pixie officially signed with Xu Baobao Media, and the eight million supporters began treating her like a queen. Douyin’s Rising Stars, beauty, membership, annual contests, and more. Champion, champion, champion! We’re all champions! She dropped out of school at thirteen and went to work. She trimmed loose threads, worked as a waitress, became the top salesperson at a gym, and livestreamed on the side. As the youngest of many siblings, she wanted to give her parents a better life. The haters say she’s uneducated. She says, “I admit I’m not very educated. By that, I mean I can’t come up with fancy words or express what I feel, so sometimes I get so frustrated I cry. That’s a shortcoming of mine, but my sincerity and values have never changed.” Also known as: I’m Douyin’s Darling Daughter, and I’ve Made It to the Top Tier
