Meeting the Stars in Midsummer

[Secret crush + mutual devotion + flirting]

On a park bench in her freshman year of high school, Zhu Yu was feeling utterly dejected. A boy who was usually carefree sat down beside her and talked nonstop, trying to comfort her.

That night, Zhu Yu’s heart pounded. A star had entered her heart.

Only later did she learn that back then, he didn’t even know her full name.

In her junior year of college, she met Yu Yanxing again. Hearing her heart race, Zhu Yu knew she still had feelings for him.

She thought, I’ll give it a try and chase after him!

Yu Yanxing had always been someone with a plan. That day, he was supposed to meet his friends to play basketball.

But when he saw her in the park, he remembered her: the girl who had called him a poser the first time they met.

In the end, almost as if possessed, he sat beside her and comforted her for a long time.

At the time, he didn’t know why he’d done it. Maybe it was just a whim?

But when they met again later, he finally understood: he had always been devoted to her alone.

A little scene

At a team-building event, Zhu Yu gets drunk, and Yu Yanxing takes her outside to sober up.

Dazed, Zhu Yu looks at him. “You’re so handsome. How have I managed not to kiss you?”

As soon as the words leave her mouth, she presses her lips to his.

His face is so red. Suddenly, she wants to see whether her lipstick or his face makes the better impression.

He actually refuses to cooperate. Indignant, she kisses his whole face. There, that’s better!

In the long, long summer, amid an unexpected encounter, we fell in love!
