A sweet, slice-of-life romance with both leads inexperienced in love
Chen Wanyan is desperately short on money. She hears that dating Lu Wenzhou could earn her a breakup fee of five million, and none of his girlfriends have lasted more than a month.
For some reason, Chen Wanyan gets it into her head that this is a tempting deal.
She does everything she can until she finally gets her wish and becomes Lu Wenzhou's girlfriend.
A week goes by, and they still haven't broken up.
A month goes by, and still nothing.
Chen Wanyan is getting anxious. To be honest, she only went after Lu Wenzhou because he was rich. Who else would want to be his girlfriend?
With graduation from their senior year of college just around the corner, everyone is waiting to celebrate their wedding. Instead, she runs away.
"Lu Wenzhou, I want to break up!" Chen Wanyan stands with her hands on her hips, glaring at him in frustration. She's tried every trick in the book, but the man doesn't take her seriously, so she has no choice but to repeat herself over and over.
"Chen Wanyan, you were the one who came after me. There's no way I'm letting you break up with me." Lu Wenzhou's eyes darken as he watches her looking dead set on leaving him. It feels as if a thousand arrows have pierced his heart.
Chen Wanyan feels a little guilty. It is true that she was the one who came after him.
"How about we break up for six months?" Chen Wanyan tries to bargain with him.
"Just marry me, and everything I own will be yours," Lu Wenzhou continues to tempt her.
But Chen Wanyan won't fall for that again.
She figures that now that she's graduated, she can sneak away while he's not looking.
She does manage to escape, but it seems he's turned dark.
"You dare use my money to keep some pretty boy?" Lu Wenzhou pins his disobedient woman against his chest, eyes narrowed and voice low.
