The Great City Lord of Another World

This is a novel written primarily in a narrative style. It’s an experiment. Thank you for reading. I never struck it rich, but I didn’t expect that having too much resentment could help me keep up with the times. It all began with a three-way battle. Who would have thought that the resentment I’d accumulated over ten years at work would make me the last one standing? I’d wanted to contend for the supreme throne, but deeply ingrained class prejudices turned out to be a major reason for my defeat. Since I’m here, who’d work for the emperor? I’d never work for anyone in this lifetime. If that’s how you want to play it, being a city lord isn’t so bad.
