Home for the Lunar New Year: Bratty Kids Who Court Death Die

I was going home for the New Year, but all the plane and high-speed rail tickets had sold out, so I had no choice but to take a slow train. Luckily, I managed to snag a lower berth by paying extra. I boarded with bags in both hands and had just settled my luggage when an entire family hurried in and crowded into the berths opposite mine. Judging by the lineup, they were probably a couple with their child, plus the child’s grandmother. I didn’t think much of it, but then the grandmother suddenly turned to me. “Young lady, go sleep in the upper berth. We’re taking this one.”
