Prequel to The Spirit Guardians

On a fantastical continent where humans and gods coexist and contracts reign supreme, ordinary young Lin Yu accidentally enters into a blood pact with the powerful divine servant Ye Ying, setting off on a journey full of wonders and the unknown. Ye Ying, once a night patrol envoy of the Netherworld who struck fear throughout the Nine Hells, is aloof by nature. But as he spends time with Lin Yu, he is gradually moved by the boy’s kindness and resilience, revealing a loyal and gentle side. Along the way, Lin Yu meets Su Ran, a clever and lively girl who also carries secrets. The two share the same ideals and travel together. Su Ran’s divine servant, Ling Hua, is a beautiful girl who can control the power of flowers and plants. Cheerful and adorable, she is as close to Su Ran as a sister.

As they fight side by side time and again, Lin Yu and Su Ran’s feelings quietly blossom amid blood and fire. But their path to love is far from smooth: for various reasons, the powerful family behind Su Ran vehemently opposes their union. Meanwhile, a mysterious and evil force rises in secret, seeking to shatter the balance of the world and control everything. To protect love and justice, Lin Yu, Su Ran, and their divine servants, Ye Ying and Ling Hua, press on through countless trials. They travel through ancient ruins and mysterious lands, constantly seeking the truth and growing stronger. Along the way, they face countless hardships and dangers, yet never abandon one another.

Where will this adventure of love and devotion ultimately lead? Can they overcome every obstacle, defeat the forces of evil, and write a legend of their own?
