The story follows Ye Xuan, a planning assistant at an advertising agency, who meets Gu Yu, a representative of a well-known brand, while planning a promotional campaign for the company, and falls in love with him. At first, they share a sweet, happy time together, and Ye Xuan throws herself wholeheartedly into the relationship.
But the good times don’t last. Gu Yu’s ex-girlfriend, Lin Wan, repeatedly intrudes on their lives, sending suggestive messages and engineering intimate encounters that leave Ye Xuan anxious and hurt. When Ye Xuan confronts him, Gu Yu offers explanations but grows increasingly cold, often accusing her of not understanding the pressure he faces at work.
Her close friend Xia Lin repeatedly warns Ye Xuan to stay clearheaded, but Ye Xuan is too deeply in love to pull herself away. Only after enduring a series of painful experiences does she finally wake up and realize she has lost herself in the relationship.
After the breakup, Ye Xuan devotes her energy to work and makes career progress through hard work. She also learns to care for herself. Bidding farewell to the past, she faces the future with a fresh outlook, hoping to meet someone who truly understands and cherishes her.
