Phantom Shadows of the Qing Court: The Modern Divine Constable, Lord Shen

A clash between good and evil spanning three hundred years, and a crime-solving legend that overturns history.

When modern Hong Kong police officer Yang Anze falls into the sea while pursuing the international fugitive known as “Black Fox,” he unexpectedly transmigrates into the body of Wei Xiaobao during the Kangxi era.

With modern forensic techniques in his left hand and the Qing court’s political world in turmoil at his right, he discovers that his old enemy, Black Fox, has also crossed over, taking the form of Wu Yingxiong. From the shadows, Black Fox manipulates the struggle among the princes for the throne, colonial invasions, and even a deadly “fake nuclear explosion” plot.

From the brothels of Yangzhou to the heights of the Forbidden City, from steam-powered warships to quantum wormholes...

He will use the soul of a police officer to carve out a path to protect the nation, blending the ancient and the modern amid the struggle between imperial power and the martial world.
