The Pillow Pact

Cen Yanqi never imagined the first tricky case she'd have to “deal with” after returning to the country would happen in her own bedroom. In the morning light, the handsome outline of a man came into view on the bed. Ji Shiyan, once a master surgeon and now a rising star in the business world, was rumored to be a merciless financial operator. Yet here he was, curled up under her goose-down comforter, sleeping like a child. Even more absurdly, this close friend of her brother and famed unattainable bachelor of City A had been crashing at her place by chance, and now he had completely taken over her bed. Everyone said Ji Shiyan was a finely tuned financial machine. Only Cen Yanqi knew that this man, who wore his three-piece suits like armor, would clutch her dressing gown when caught in a nightmare, bury his face in her pillow at dawn, and curl up on the sofa with a stack of files while waiting for her to come home from working late, like a caged beast guarding its treasure. #The untouchable falls from his pedestal#
