The Mountain God's Little Diner

Slow time in Yokai Restaurant: A bowl of fireworks heals the wrinkles in the world Adults who are crushed by the fast pace of life always need a fairy tale-like haven - "The Little Restaurant of the Mountain God" is such a slow-cooked healing bedtime story. With a CP-free pure perspective and the warm bond between monsters and humans, it weaves a gentle net between the smoke and clouds, gently embracing every tired soul. The story begins when the heroine Lin Kui returns home to renovate her grandmother's old house. The yellowed "Monster Recipe" in the attic is like a key, opening up the hidden fantasy dimension of Denglong Mountain. When the sleeping mountain god wakes up with the refreshing scent of pine, when the gluttonous mountain ghost breaks open the bamboo door with a candy cake, and when the tree spirit holds up freshly picked wild berries in exchange for plum wine, this supposedly ordinary country restaurant has quietly become a healing station for both men and monsters to drink together. There is no intrigue in urban dramas here, only the slow daily routine of picking dew to make tea in the morning, simmering soup and stewing meat at noon, and listening to monsters telling stories at night: the mountain god despises human beings for being "clumsy", but will light the lantern under the eaves for Lin Kui who comes home late on a rainy night; The fox demon has tried and failed repeatedly to make sugar cakes, but he is determined to replace the smiling faces of humans with sweet snacks; even the most ordinary customers complain that "life is so tiring", but in a bowl of mushroom soup mixed with moonlight and starlight, they can taste the taste of "the world is worth it". The author understands that the true meaning of healing lies in "not deliberately redeeming", but using food as a medium and monsters as mirrors to allow readers to see the plight of human beings from an inhuman perspective. When Lin Kui stews "Wangyou Tofu" using her grandmother's recipe, what heals her is not the immediate enlightenment, but the relaxation of allowing herself to "eat first and worry later"; when the poisonous mountain god occasionally pops up "Human beings always calculate the gains and losses too clearly, it is better to imitate the tree spirits and bask in the sun", which implies a gentle deconstruction of urban anxiety. There is no ups and downs in the plot, but the healing is hidden in every detail of the fireworks with delicate writing that cuts through the warp and weft - the heat from the newly steamed rice cakes, the crispness of tea made from mountain spring water, and the innocent manner of the monsters' furry paws scratching the window frame, all silently saying: "You don't have to rush, there is always a light here for you." The CP-free setting makes this healing even more pure: there is no emotional entanglement, only trust and companionship between humans and monsters that transcend species. The interaction between Lin Kui and the mountain god is like the mutual hostility and tacit understanding between old friends; the monsters' obsession with human food is actually their yearning for human fireworks. This kind of clean emotion is just like the bowl of "Moonlight Egg Drop Soup" in the book. It is light but warm to the bottom of the heart. In the "brain-free" reading state, readers can unknowingly relieve their tense nerves and gradually fall into a gentle sleep wrapped in gentleness as they follow Lin Kui's kitchen knife up and down, listen to the mountain god's arrogant complaints, and smell the wild fruit fragrance brought by the monsters. If you have ever suffered from anxiety and insomnia late at night, or have ever felt tired from dealing with people, you might as well open the wooden door of this monster restaurant. Here, you can be a "little fool" for a while, leave your worries to the talking mountain gods, soak your fatigue in the hot soup with soothing herbs, and listen to the mountain ghosts humming off-key folk songs. After all, in this world where you need to "run hard", occasionally stopping to "waste time" is the most precious healing for yourself.

I can't understand why this book only has a score of 7.4. In my eyes, this book should be rated ten points. This is the only novel that is super healing and super heart-warming. It feels very much like the warm feeling in Natsume's Book of Friends, and a little bit like the predecessor of Natsume's Book of Friends. Natsume's Book of Friends returned the names to the monsters one by one, but this novel is like signing names with the monsters one by one. It is very warm and healing, and it is Chinese style, with a Chinese-style atmosphere. There are a lot of food and descriptions of scenery, but these food are all It's not the delicacies you can eat in daily life, but the delicacies of monsters. The only part that I might not like that much is the parts where the heroine goes out to fight, but these parts are the heroine's efforts to save the mountain god. These parts are also very important. This novel is super invincible. It's a good read. This is a novel that I won't kick off the bookshelf even after reading it. When you are tired, you can read it. When you encounter setbacks in life and a hurdle that you can't overcome, you can read it. When you encounter a life-and-death decision and a hurdle that you can't overcome, you can read it. There are answers in this book.

This can be considered a fairy tale book for adults. Reading it reminded me of Natsume's Book of Friends, where gentle people treat both worlds in their own way. Adults in modern society have been trained to be too shrewd. We are good at calculating gains and losses, but we have gradually lost the ability to talk to the other world. This book quietly rebuilds that bridge for us. The warmth flowing between the lines is not childlike innocence, but the choice made after experiencing the world - knowing that there is darkness in the world, but still choosing to light a small lamp; knowing that there is a gap, but still trying to understand. This kind of tenderness is exactly the fairy tale that adults need most.

A slow-paced novel, the things in it are like those imagined in childhood, such as the arrogant mountain god, the emotional Xiaokui... It's really sweet, very sweet. Watching it sometimes makes me feel emotional, and I silently drop little pearls in the middle of the night. It seems to be the life that I have imagined, a life that is ordinary, but not ordinary. The author's writing style makes people immersed in it unconsciously, and there is a feeling of breeze blowing on the face. Once again, I hope the author will not tire himself out.

First of all, congratulations on finding the treasure! It is super warm and healing, with a very idyllic atmosphere. It has a pampering feeling for both the mountain spirits and the children (maybe it is my perspective). I have been reading it for a long time, and I turned to the end today and found that there are no comments, so... It's not too late. Of course, the occasional notes in the middle of the article (? I don't know how to put it, let's put it this way) are really poignant, and I burst into tears when I read them... I was even more moved. All the way, I cried, cried, laughed, laughed, cried, laughed, laughed, cried, played, laughed, laughed, cried... [Cover face] No loss in entering the trap

I stayed up late and saw the latest one. I said before opening it that I would read a few chapters before falling asleep. , But I accidentally immersed myself in the gentle countryside of the little chef, as if I was also a temporary worker there, watching the fun with the mountain god, and helping the mountain god secretly get food. Suddenly I felt that I had the strength to go to class again. The author gave me sleep, but I can't sleep now. It's 3:00 and I want to sleep [almost crying] [almost crying] [almost crying] [almost crying] [almost crying] [almost crying] [almost crying] [almost crying] [almost crying] Can you write some hypnotic stories tomorrow to lull you to sleep [shy] [shy] [shy]

I opened such a healing book at 5 o'clock, so please seriously write a book review. The protagonist suffered various setbacks in his career from the beginning, lost two relatives one after another, and returned to Denglong Village. Getting along with the mountain gods, small animals, and spirits. From the beginning of sadness to cooking, there is a kind of eating that makes people sad. Slowly, he is healed by the mountain gods and spirits. The following will involve spoilers. In short, it is really warm and frequent, and the author's words are also zero and seven. I found out after reading that basically every author has something to say. There are some short stories or blessings in it. After writing this book review, I will read it from the beginning and then send what I want to say to the book review.

The words and warm emotions in the book gave me a gentle and warm embrace in my impetuous life, making me relax unconsciously and bring a smile to my mouth. People are always changeable. When my heart is impetuous or I am bored, I always like to open this book to soothe my mental fatigue; when my heart yearns for active and passionate emotions, and I feel that the pace of this book is too slow, then I will put it down. But no matter how many times I put it down, I can't bear to remove it from my bookshelf. It is a book that I will keep even if I finish reading it [Send my heart][Send my heart]

The author's writing style is really unique. Beneath the outer layer of fantasy is the core of worldly love. Lin Kui and the mountain god healed each other and accompanied each other. Lin Kui saw himself, all sentient beings, and the world little by little. I think the author should also be a person with great love and can see the beauty in ordinary life.

It's very interesting, it feels like reading Natsume's Book of Friends
