After transmigrating into the city, he becomes the Tong family's dog dad, teaming up with a child in games and switching into full-time dad mode. He joins a single mother and her child on a livestream variety show.

Other families: “Put all your phones away. You have to memorize vocabulary even while eating!”

Other families: “We work ourselves to the bone, and it's all for you! We even bought this house for you to get into a good school district! Why don't you appreciate it?”

At Tong Xin's home, Mom can only order food and doesn't know how to look after a child, so everything falls to the dog dad.

Dog Dad: “Woof, woof!” (Come play a two-person game with Dog Dad at A Short! I'll make you look cool and carry you to victory!)

Tong Xin: “Dog Dad, I'm going to read and go to sleep. Why are you asking me to play games?”

Dog Dad: “Woof!” (You're only five. Why are you going to sleep?)

The whole internet is stunned.

“Ziqiao, you won't believe what I just saw. A dog is taking care of a kid?”

“Seriously, he's better than me at A Short. If he's a dog, then what am I?”

“This one doesn't look like a dog. I'll tag you in a post with one that does.”

“He's a hundred times better than my husband and mother-in-law!”

Faced with all kinds of belittling, guilt-tripping, and pressure to support a younger brother, Dog Dad proves with actions that although he's a real dog, he's amazing at raising a kid.

But it doesn't take long for people to realize there's more to Dog Dad than meets the eye. He plays games with the child, yet the kid comes first in class every time.

When he occasionally helps with homework, his professional manner leaves the whole internet stunned.
