Honkai: Star Rail: Something’s Not Quite Right with Kiana from Honkai Impact

[An original world merging Honkai 2 and Honkai Impact 3rd / includes Honkai: Star Rail] [Don’t leave this on your reading list! Don’t leave it there, or it really will die.] The Siberian wind swept snow across the frozen permafrost. A slender figure stood amid the curtain of snow. A light frost covered her white hair, and her sapphire eyes burned with a warmth utterly at odds with this desolate wasteland. She called herself Kiana Kaslana, and her appearance was exactly the same as that of Kiana from Honkai Impact 3rd. At first, it was the usual harassment from zombies and Honkai Beasts, the familiar rhythm of battle for the Valkyries. People thought this was just another commonplace struggle in the world of Honkai Impact 3rd. Until the crimson Herrscher of Erosion tore through the clouds, until the shadow of the black Herrscher of Death’s mist haunted the ruins of the city, until disasters born of Honkai swept across the land like wildfire... The icicles on the frozen soil shattered. The girl tightened her grip on her gun and gazed at the Honkai Energy pouring down from the sky. She whispered to herself: “Is this... still Honkai Impact 3rd?” When the embers of Finality had burned away the last trace of Honkai, and time had slowly soothed the world’s scars, Kiana stood on the newborn earth and saw a silver-blue rift split open in the sky. The light of star tracks poured down, stretching her shadow out long, long behind her. It was a call from another universe, the roar of the Astral Express passing by. She glanced back at the world behind her, now at peace once more. The Honkai Energy at her fingertips quietly resonated with the faint light of a Stellaron. The girl gave a soft laugh and leaped into the dazzling star tracks. This time, her battlefield was among the stars.
