Korean Caregiver's Journal: Song of the Runaways
The world is divided, order has collapsed, and they stand beyond the boundaries of evolution.
Once numbered patients hidden away in hospital laboratories, they are now forced into the world's spotlight.
They are 'failures of evolution', 'genetically contaminated', and unstable elements in the eyes of the government.
But they are also a possibility for the future: humans better adapted to their environment, or outcasts society cannot accept?
The hospital experiments have ended, but society has not found peace. Instead, it has fallen into even greater chaos.
Government officials secretly devise a response. They cannot acknowledge the numbered patients' existence, nor can they allow them to be free.
The Nightfall Squad carries out assassination orders in secret, vowing to make every numbered patient disappear for good.
Meanwhile, public opinion is ablaze. Some fear them, some want to exploit their genes, and extremist groups have begun attacking them...
Apart from all this, X-9, an AI that once obeyed orders, has become an observer.
It is waiting for humanity to complete its own selection, waiting for evolution to unfold on its own.
It knows that adaptation has not ended, and that the world will ultimately choose for itself.
As the conflict grows ever more intense, the numbered patients must choose:
Keep running and wait for society to accept them?
Come forward and negotiate with humanity, fighting for the right to survive?
Abandon the past entirely, establish an order of their own, and move toward an unknown evolution?
Yet no matter which path they choose, human society will not let them live so easily.
The government will not give up
"Notes of a Korean Nurse" is a suspense novel with a strong sense of reality. It not only tells the story of a nurse, but also uses this character to analyze the operation of the entire society and the choices and struggles of people in extreme environments. The novel does a good job in logic, character creation and atmosphere creation, and is also deep and readable. The parts that currently need to be continuously optimized are mainly the addition of details, the strengthening of logic, and the integration of philosophical thinking into the plot more naturally. If we can continue to maintain this high standard and gradually improve the details during the writing process, I believe this book will become more and more readable and attract more readers' attention.
