Original identity: A chubby shut-in, immersed in the world of anime and manga and almost obsessively devoted to comics. He often frequents conventions, and in daily life he is lazy and laid-back. In the real world, he is an utterly unremarkable nobody.
How he transmigrates: At a bustling convention, Shen Yuan happily cosplays as his favorite manga character, weaving through the crowds. Suddenly, a mysterious bolt of lightning strikes without warning and engulfs him. It turns out to be a summons from the Nine Apertures Exquisite Heart System, and he is swept into a fantastical otherworld.
