Prisoner on the High Terrace

No one here is a good person + humiliating scumbags + revenge + romantic tension

Wicked heroine vs. powerful scumbag hero

A slow-burn story.

She is the second legitimate daughter of the Pingyang Marquis household, and takes her elder sister's place as the Crown Prince's secondary consort.

She has a radiant, breathtaking beauty and a cold, selfish heart.

She schemes against people and strikes without mercy.

She does it all to avenge her dead sister.

She never hopes for true love, because she knows that if she ever dares to wish for it, she will surely be punished.

He stands high above her, selfish, cold-hearted, and aloof. At first, he is drawn to her only because of her beauty.

He never imagined that her false submission would be the deadliest seduction, leaving him unable to let her go.

He tells her, “Now that you have entered my household, you and I will be entangled until death.”

Standing in the solemn great hall, she smiles.

Even a lifetime in captivity is better than ending up a pile of bones.
