Vines in the South, Rivers in the North

When Wen Man, a girl from the southern water towns, heads north to pursue her desert dreams, the dry climate leaves her with the embarrassing problem of hemorrhoids. She never expects this “disaster” to lead her to the love of her life. Encouraged by her best friend Song Ci, the timid Wen Man steps into a hospital and has a hilariously awkward first encounter with Xu Hanchuan, a cold-faced but warm-hearted colorectal surgeon. Their relationship goes from doctor and patient to unrequited love. Just as Wen Man finally overcomes her insecurities and prepares to confess, she discovers that he feels the same way. But after experiencing the joys and sorrows of life, the two choose to break up. Heartbroken, Xu Hanchuan applies for a medical aid assignment in the border regions. A year later, Xu Hanchuan returns with the desert rose Wen Man once casually mentioned. This time, he is the one to make the first move: “Miss Wen, this time, let me be the one to confess.”
