Siheyuan: A Farm Dimension Changes My Fate

When Xue Chengyuan woke up, he had transmigrated to the courtyard world of the 1970s, a place full of everyday warmth and hidden undercurrents. He had also unexpectedly unlocked a portable farm space. He thought he could use it to live a leisurely life, but trouble kept finding him. Liu Haizhong tried to buy his land deed for next to nothing, Banggeng ran his mouth and picked a fight, and Jia Zhangshi coveted his house. Just after he’d dealt with them, Xue Chengyuan was assigned to the countryside and sent to the forests of Changbai Mountain, where he became a forest ranger.

In these vast stretches of primeval woodland, spanning thousands of miles, danger lurked everywhere. On snowy days, wild Siberian tigers several meters long prowled the area. During the autumn harvest, black bears came down the mountain to snap corn stalks and wreak havoc. Herds of wild boars roamed in search of food. Yet there were wonders, too: a weasel spirit brought a pheasant as a greeting gift, while roe deer, otters, and sika deer often gathered around him.

Using his farm space, Xue Chengyuan grew high-quality crops and cleverly dealt with wild beasts, gradually learning to live in harmony with the animals of the forest. He also uncovered more of the space’s secrets. From a courtyard tenant who was the target of other people’s schemes to a powerful guardian of the forest, he used his farm space to turn his fate around in this extraordinary era, forging a passionate and legendary story.
